Two Minutes...

WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! High poop quotient in the post ahead...

Two minutes. Not so long, in the whole scheme of things. Long enough to ruin my day...
Five minutes prior to leaving for OT, I left Sam playing on the floor to put something in my purse. Fix my hat. Grab some lip gloss. Upon my return to the kitchen, Sam was choking a little. What has that crazy baby eaten off the floor now? Holy Crap! Literally. She had somehow managed to get off her diaper (she was wearing a dress. For the last time...) and was EATING HER POOP! I could have died. Or thrown up. In two minutes or less she was now covered in it. Both hands. Both legs. Her bum. Her face. The floor. Her dress. I had to wipe poop off her tongue. No wonder she was choking... Did I mention that by now it's time to leave for therapy? Of course it is. One super-hero speed bath and new outfit later we were on our way.

Half a bottle of All-Purpose Cleaner - $3.76
2 packages of baby wipes - $4.00
1 bottle of baby wash - $2.50
1 year of therapy -$6,000
Having the world's grossest story to tell - Priceless
I sent Brooke for the camera, but she didn't get back quick enough for pictures. I just couldn't leave Sam covered in poop for one second longer...

Quote of the Day...

As a truly exceptional mother, I bribe my children with McDonalds for stellar behavior. Today, on the way home from Seattle Children's Hospital we went through the drive-through. Erin and Alix had WAY earned a few chicken "nuggies". Alix unbuckled and handed back Erin her milk...
In the sweetest voice...
Alix: "Here you go, my damn sister."
huh?
Now for the fries...
Alix: "Here you go, my damn sister."
Ummm. Alix?
and the nuggies...
Alix: "Here you go, my damn sister."
And then the light went on...
She was being polite.
Madame Sister, in four year old accent...

Quote of the Day...

(Picture her running in, breathless and rosy cheeked from running around outside...)
Alix: "Mom, my heart just quit beeping!"

Finally...

We have found a home and have come to mutual agreement on the price. The seller and us both want to close as soon as possible, but it will take bout four to six weeks for the loan to go through (says our money man, Mike...) so we know where we are going and we'll only be homeless for two to four weeks. It could have been way worse! (We will be staying with Brian's mom until school is out...)

I had a link up for the new house, but decided that it wasn't super smart of me to put our exact address up on our blog... It showed in the link and on the listing. So, you'll just have to imagine how great it is.... And lucky for you folks that got on early and saw the link before I got smart...

Silver lining...

The bad news: Moving stinks. Packing is a pain. Selling your house will age you. Buying a new house should be fun, but hasn't been. We'll be homeless in another few days.

The silver lining: The girls haven't even noticed their toys are all packed away.

Maybe we'll move into the girl's box house... Can you make a toilet out of cardboard?

Bugs...

We've gone from terrified to fascinated in one spring... Bring on the bugs!

So tired...

This is what it feels like the day after you spend the entire night rubbing your daughter's (Alix) legs so that her growing pains will feel better. And then find out your house didn't appraise for what you sold it for.
