Dirt

We got home from softball practice and Alix said she had some sand in her boots...
I don't know how she was walking around like that, but I cried I laughed so hard as all this sand (and pebbles) just kept on pouring out of her boots.

Quote of the Day

Erin and Alix were playing "family" the other day and this is what I overheard...

Erin - "No! I want to be the mommy! I really want to be the mommy!"
Alix - "Why?"
Erin - "Because she's the mean one!"

I've said it before, I'll say it again... Next life I want to be the dad....

Does 5 +5 = 10?

For some reason, my computer is now easy to use again... Like I said, it couldn't possibly be user error... Here are some pictures from the twin's fifth birthday. Five? It just doesn't seem possible. I am constantly thankful that these two funny girls are part of our family. As hard as it was in the beginning, I can't imagine them joining us separately.

And Alix wanted to know if she's five and Erin's five, and 5+5=10, doesn't that make them older than Brooke? I cried I was laughing so hard. Brooke was not super amused, but couldn't really argue with her math... Isn't life grand? :)

Fairy tea parties rock! Erin is in white and Alix in the pink/purple

The only person they could name in their primary class was Ali and Tyler is their "buddy" so the party was small, but I let them stay all day, so it was pretty fun...

Sam snuck over and ate all their fairy sugar once the bigger kids were gone

We had a fairy treasure hunt and then the put all the fairy glass in the little vases and got to pick fairy stems... (once I latch onto a theme, hang on...)

Instead of a cake, each kid got to decorate a giant cupcake and turn it into a fairy hut

Alix's turn at the pinata.

Erin's turn...

Blowing out the candles...

greatest invention ever!

Food coloring. Hands down the funnest addition to any meal. Obviously, we had green past tonight for dinner, it being St. Patrick's Day, but on any given night, we have unusual colored food. I know this creeps my friend Caprice out, but my girls love it. It's been years since I've made plain colored pancakes or waffles. But really, you should all try adding food coloring to your water while you boil your noodles. It's awesome. Pink takes the best, and purple is a little weird, but you want dinner gone? Change it's color...

super genius...

I know I am slacking on my blogging. I have this great new computer and now I can't figure out to get all the pictures from iphoto to here... I'm such a genius that apparently I am just too smart for the computer. It couldn't be me. It has to be the computer... One day I'll tell you all about the twins' birthday (they are FIVE!!!!) and other adorable goings on. It's just no fun without pictures. And I only have this one download that shows up to choose from... So feast your eyes on the triplets (we count Tyler as one of our own...) and Sam. One day I'm sure I'll figure it out. Which means I have to admit how smart I am to Tom...

Quote of the Day

I have a (horrible) cold and my eyes are bothering me, so I wore glasses to church (unless I'm dying, it's just easier to go than to give away either of my callings...).

Pono (4yr old boy in primary) - "Why are you wearing glasses?"
"I just do sometimes."
Pono - "Well, you look a little weird..."

And I thought no one had noticed... :)
