Quote of the Day

I have a (horrible) cold and my eyes are bothering me, so I wore glasses to church (unless I'm dying, it's just easier to go than to give away either of my callings...).

Pono (4yr old boy in primary) - "Why are you wearing glasses?"
"I just do sometimes."
Pono - "Well, you look a little weird..."

And I thought no one had noticed... :)

Oh my goodness! The honesty of children can be painful. However, I hope you didn't think that my compliment o your glasses was anything other than genuine. I really thought you looked pretty. :)

Thanks Heidi! Your compliment helped to offset Pono's. What a funny kid. He probably wondered what he said that made me laugh so hard...

Then there was the day that this lady at church came up to Al and said said, "It's true." Her kids had told her their new Primary teacher had red hair and purple polka dots on his face. She just wanted to see if they were right. He'd had a small cannon explode in his face and it peppered his face with gunpowder "tatoos" and they thought his strawberry blonde hair was red. Most of the spots are worn off now after 35 years.

I, for one, think you look very cute in your glasses! I love seeing you guys at church now. I think I might have to skip class to say hi and chat. :0)
