We went on our annual family excursion to Stoltz farm last weekend. It was fantastic! Not one girl cried (Tom didn't either), there was no fighting, there was no whining, there was no arguing, there was only a little begging... What a great day!
This one is of Sam in the pumpkins. What a cute lady bug! She kept falling over and I was afraid that she was going to take a pumpkin stem to the eyeball. Luckily, she escaped harm!

Brooke almost broke her back actually trying to push the wheelbarrow! She didn't quite get that she was just posing for a picture. We had 120 pounds of pumpkin in there!

Erin holding the first pumpkin that she chose. The first of about 7. Her final one is so big that I could barely pick it up...

This one is of Brooke and Erin up on top of the huge pile of sawdust that the kids can use like a sledding hill.

Alix loved pretending to push the wheelbarrow. She's even pretending to walk.

Brooke, Erin (tired of pictures, can you tell?) and Alix

Erin having a sweet little moment with Sam.

Look how much we've grown! Not only in height, but there's a whole 'nother kid in that picture!

How fun! It was a family tradition to go to the pumpkin patch every October. Love that....makes for great pics too! Although I'm yet to see a pumpkin patch out here. I've even asked around and gone on line and there just doesn't seem to be one. Next year we'll have to go on recon together! :)

I'd bet you could grow a might good pumpkin in Hurricane!! A little drip line irrigation is probably all you'd need. Uncle Jay gave us some Atlantic Giant seeds from his pumpkins one year and we got one that was over a hundred lbs. Maybe we aught to have a family contest next year :)

Man, there is nothing worse than a nasty pumpkin stem to the eyeball! We just went to a pumpkin patch on Saturday, but we did have some whining and fighting. The kids wanted some of the little tiny pumpkins and they were 3 for 1$, but they were fighting over whose 3 were chosen. Kids!

It was great catching up on what you've been doing! The pumpkin pictures are beautiful! Brooke did a great talk! Was she readign or adlibbing? Tom, you are looking good!

Brief comment here: There seem to be more and more Brendas these days. Just don't understand how that happened as I was the only one until the last couple of years. The Brenda who made the first quote is not me, Brenda Macbeth! I know Brenda Westover Jones accesses the blog but I think there is one other as well who makes comments and must live in April's area. Enlighten us, April! My blog entries always say Brenda M.

I, too, loved these pictures, April!!
